This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Closter is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Closter follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I really enjoyed the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, and the owner is friendly. I would like to give it 5 stars, but since the chashu and eggs seemed to be store-bought products, I will only give it 4 stars. Regardless of whether they were pre-made or not, the taste was excellent. If I had to point out one more downside, it is that the waiting line is completely unpredictable. There are too many people who cut in line to grab a seat without waiting.

I’m honestly surprised I hadn’t written a review for this place yet. I’ve been a huge fan ever since it opened. The soup is so well balanced that I can finish every drop without feeling thirsty afterward. I’ve never even had ramen this delicious in Japan. You can really feel the owner’s dedication and passion in every detail, even in the smallest side dish. This is the best restaurant in New Jersey. And the owner is such a lovely and talented expert. My family of three absolutely loves this place.

i think this is the best ramen i’ve ever had. other places i’ve tried over salt their broths so i was hesitant to order a soy sauce broth. to my surprise, the taste was so well balanced. you order prior to sitting and it is SO worth the wait because as soon as i sat down my food was ready. this was just what i needed to warm me up in this cold weather. i can’t wait to go back!

I finally got to try this ramen spot after craving a good shio (salt) ramen for so long. Most places only serve tonkotsu pork broth, so I was excited to find a place that offers something different. The restaurant is small with mostly bar-style seating. When you walk in, you write down your name and party size, and once your turn is getting close you place your order on a tablet. We waited about 30 minutes, and there was already a big line out front, so we knew right away this place had to be legit. The ramen did not disappoint — the shio and shoyu (soy sauce) broths were flavorful and comforting, something you really can’t find at most other spots. It even felt a bit like home for my Japanese wife. Overall, great ramen, worth the wait, and a perfect spot if you’re craving something other than the usual tonkotsu. Highly recommend!

I’ve always noticed this ramen shop packed with people, and today I finally made it in right at opening. The menu is ordered through tablets, and the limited seating fills quickly. We tried the shoyu ramen with pork fat and the tsukemen—both wonderfully light yet flavorful, with great chashu toppings. My only regret was missing out on the egg, which has to be ordered separately. Definitely recommend this place. Worth the premium
